4 recipes for making ice cream without an ice cream maker

Greedy and thirst-quenching, ice cream is the must-have dessert of the summer that everyone agrees on! So, to amaze your friends, L’Étudiant Trendy offers you four recipes that are easy to make yourself and without the need to invest in an ice cream maker!

Homemade vanilla ice cream

For 6 people:

  • 6 tablespoons of sugar

  • 25 cl of fresh liquid cream

Beat the egg yolks, 5 tablespoons of sugar and the seeds of the vanilla bean. Whip the liquid cream into the whipped cream, then incorporate it into the preparation. Beat the 2 egg whites until stiff with 1 tablespoon of sugar. Mix with the previous preparation then pour everything into a container. Store in the freezer overnight.

Strawberry or red fruit ice cream

For 6 people:

  • 500 g strawberries (or berries)

  • 250 ml of cream

Wash and peel the strawberries then cut them in half. Squeeze the lemon juice. Put the strawberries, icing sugar, fresh cream and lemon juice in the bowl of a blender. Mix for 2 or 3 minutes so that the mixture is smooth. Pour the mixture into flexible molds. Place them in the freezer for 8 hours to cool. After 1 hour in the freezer, stir the ice cream with a fork to avoid the formation of crystals. Repeat this operation several times (about 6 times). Serve the ice cream decorated with strawberries and a few mint leaves.

Chocolate ice cream

For 4 people:

  • 100 g of dark chocolate

Melt the chocolate and butter. Beat the 3 egg yolks with the sugar until the mixture turns white. Add the melted chocolate and mix. Beat the egg whites until stiff and then gently incorporate them into the mixture. Put in the freezer for about 3 to 4 hours.

banana ice-cream

For 4 people:

  • 10 cl of full cream liquid

Peel the bananas and cut them into slices. Squeeze the lemon and sprinkle the banana slices with the juice. Place the banana slices in a freezer bag and place them in the freezer for 3 hours. When hard, place the banana slices in the blender bowl. Add the liquid cream and mix until you get a creamy and homogeneous ice cream. Divide the ice cream into bowls and enjoy your meal!
